Focusing on descriptive analytics, we look at the capabilities of data to tell a story or deliver key messages through data visualisation. The talk will explore the common misconceptions and pitfalls in data visualisation and the use of a simple and effective framework to help employees make full use of data to make better decisions at work.
Joanne Foo – NYP Singapore
Ms Joanne Foo is a Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. She teaches Analytics related topics such as Digital Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behaviour Research and Machine Learning.
She received her Bachelor of Science (Statistics) degree with a minor in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
Ms Foo has prior experiences in OCBC Bank and The Nielsen Company, leading various analytics projects and market research projects for multiple industries such as banking and finance, retail, government, healthcare and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
Her research & analytics experiences also include brand health tracking, marketing ad analysis, market segmentation studies, concept/product test, trend analysis, campaign optimisation etc.
